DEATH AND BEAUTY

I always thought I could never lose my grandma.I would look up at the sky and sought God's help many a times to keep her hale and hearty and with me forever until I died. But that would not happen because God ordains everyone's destiny and everybody has to go after they have performed their assigned stint on this earth.Nobody can fight their fate and eventually have to succumb to death---the mighty leveler.

Irrespective of one's status, stature, wealth, health, goodness, wickedness one has to shed off one's earthly physique ,which is merely a container holding in it the 'LIFE', and be mingled with dust. This physique,of which we all feel proud of is completely worthless without a soul in it.And the soul is one thing which when steps out of this corporeal straitjacket takes with it 'Life' and with it stops every anatomical function right from breathing to eating to walking.

Death is unquestionably a very powerful weapon which nobody can escape--Rich or poor; beautiful or ugly.Despite all our efforts humanly possible to remain alive  we eventually perish. But we do not stop trying our efforts to look admirable and statuesque. Even my grandma was beautiful and used many contemporary powder, lotion, lipstick, rouge,  and many other preparation for beautifying the face, skin, hair, nails, etc  but nothing could protect her. Though years of usage of cosmetics formed subsequent layers on her skin, those layers were not thick enough to preserve her soul and life.

Can cosmetics and modern methods of dermatology retain the soul and prevent it from shuffling off of the mortal coil?

Wow! we all know the answer.Nevertheless we all are so anesthetized with looking good that we tend to neglect our primary purpose and choose beauty over duty.We spend hours at a stretch pampering our skin in front of the mirror to look like a piece of art but end up becoming a fashion faux pas.We often read about people loosing jobs for not looking good and candidates with color--black ,brown--barely selected in interviews for not having the physical presence.Even in schools and colleges it has become indispensable to look good and wear clothes in vogue to catch everybody's attention--friends' and faculty's alike.
A MADE UP LADY
We all have flaws and blemishes and hence allow ourselves to makeup but most of the times people get carried away and appear madeup. There is a gulf between make up and made up. While makeup is the use of minimal cosmetics to conceal your flaws to look decent and beautiful made up is the use of cosmetics excessively to look plastic and worse than a doll. You become a disaster when you look made up which was otherwise a diametrically opposite situation.

Do we still think of those cosmetics and modern skin, hair, facial and nail treatment which might cost somebody an arm and a leg?
Or is it better to die without an arm and a leg?
